1. Solid Spruce Soundboard

Much better sound and durability than laminated soundboard. The soundboard is more important than any other part in terms of how the guitar sounds. If the guitar you are considering does not specify that it has a "solid-top" soundboard, then it is likely a laminated-top (Difference between solid-top and laminated-top soundboards).

Solid-top soundboards offer a much better vibration. They also provides a much more pure acoustic tone than laminated-top soundboards. In addition, solid-top soundboards sound better with time, while the sound from laminated-top soundboards worsens over time, since the laminated layers loosen over time.

The sound hole is decorated with a multi-layered decorative inlay rosette

2. Top-of-the-Line, Built-In Electronics

4-band equalizer with built-in Piezo electric pickup. The four-band equalizer allows you to control the broad range of frequencies (presence, treble, middle, and bass) when connected to an amp. It is also conveniently located where it can be easily adjusted while playing. Between the Piezo pickup and the EMI shield painting, you will only get the most crisp and pure sounds, without interference or feedback. (Acoustic Bass Series Equalizer Details)

3. Adjustable Double Truss Rod

No warping, bending, or twisting of neck and bridge. The double rod through the neck and bridge results in far more stability and support than the typical single truss rod. Plus, the double truss rod system means seasonal adjustments are not necessary, while also resulting in better sounding notes.

Allows you to adjust strings to ideal height. The Peal Acoustic Bass guitar comes standard as a "low action" guitar, meaning the strings are set closer to the frets. Most people prefer low action. However, the Peal AB-15 truss system does offer the capability of being adjusted, so you can ensure the perfect string height for your individual needs and preferences.

4. Custom Designed Headstock

The acoustic bass also features a 15˚ peg head angle for optimum tone and balance. The headstock features a decorative cursive inlay scripted with abalone and rosewood overlay.

5. Custom Designed Rosewood Bridge

The Peal Acoustic Bass guitar is equipped with a custom designed bridge with pearlescent acrylic markers. The high-density resin saddle gives a better, more even, energy transfer to the piezo pickup.

6. Ivory ABS Binding

Keeps edges intact. Ivory ABS is a very strong binding, protecting the edges from impact. Acoustic guitars without binding around the edges can fall apart with even the slightest bump on the edge. The Peal Acoustic Bass guitar not only has binding around the edges on the body, but also along the edges of the neck and headstock, for complete protection.

7. Chrome Plated Die Cast Machine Heads

High-precision tuners that keep dust and dirt out. The AB-15 acoustic bass guitar uses die-cast chrome plated tuners with large comfortable buttons and a 14:1 gear ratio. These precision-cut gears allow you to perfectly tune your guitar quickly and easily, without slippage or backlash. The sealed lubricant means that the machine heads will last a lifetime. Comparable replacement tuners typically sell for between $50 and $100. .

8. Perfectly Tight Seams

Maintain quality, durability, and appearance. The construction of the Acoustic Bass is so "seamless", it almost feels and looks as though it is made from a single piece of wood. You will not see any glue protruding from seams anywhere on the guitar.

9. Jumbo Body Size

Best balance of sound and size. The concert body size is small enough for most people to comfortably get their arms around, yet big enough to still product a high-quality sound.

10. Mahogany Neck with Rosewood Finger Board

Makes guitar easier to play. The rosewood used in the making of the fretboard make it very strong and comfortable on the fingers while playing. Plus, this model also offers a 21-fret fingerboard. The vintage v-shaped neck gives you a softened feel and added comfort. The neck also features easily visible pearlescent acrylic dot markers. The AB acoustic has a French style neck heel also has decorative acrylic cap.

11. Handcrafted in South Korea

By certified technicians. Korea has a fantastic reputation for making top-quality guitars, and the Peal is among the best to come out of this nation steeped on guitar-making tradition.

12. Zero-Risk Customer Service Policies

You will not pay a dime if dissatisfied. Guitar Imports takes all the risk for you when you buy a Peal guitar. First, if there are any manufacturer defects, or damages from shipping when you receive the guitar, Guitar Imports will pay the return shipping costs, and for the replacement (plus shipping costs). If you are not satisfied, and return your guitar within the 1-year guarantee period, Guitar Imports will provide you with a 100% refund plus shipping costs, including the return shipping costs (Read Zero-Risk Policies).

13. Highly Affordable Price

Best price for solid-top acoustic-bass guitar. It is not possible to find a guitar built with this level of quality, with this number of features, for anywhere near the price of $499. The only "advantage" that other comparable guitars can offer is a more recognizable brand name, although the quality of the Peal guitars are as high as any other on the market (Place Order).

14. Other Specifications:

  • Rosewood bridge and fingerboard

  • Mahogany neck, sides and back

  • 21 frets

  • Dimensions: Scale Length - 34"; Width - 16"; Body Length - 20.5"
